Privacy Policy — inThreadable, LLC

Last updated / Effective date: 2026-07-26

inThreadable, LLC ("inThreadable," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have when you visit in-threadable.com (the "Site") or place an order with us.

This policy is incorporated into our Terms of Service. By using the Site or placing an order, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope

This policy applies to personal information we collect through the Site and in the course of selling and fulfilling our custom embroidery products. Purchases you make through our "Suzie Q Stitch" shop on Etsy are also subject to Etsy's own privacy policy. This policy does not cover the practices of third parties we do not control.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

  • Contact & order details — your name, shipping address, billing address, email address, and phone number.
  • Artwork & order content — the artwork, logos, insignia, text, and designs you submit for your custom order, along with your specifications and any messages you send us.
  • B2B/quote details — company or organization name and related contact information when you request a quote.
  • Payment information — your payment is processed by our payment processor. We do not collect or store full payment card numbers on our systems; the processor handles card data (see Section 4).

Information we collect automatically:

  • Device & usage data — IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, and interactions with the Site.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — used for cart functionality, site performance, security, analytics, and (where enabled) advertising. See Section 5.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Produce, process, fulfill, and ship your orders, and prepare and send digital proofs;
  • Provide customer support and respond to your inquiries and quote requests;
  • Send transactional messages — order confirmations, proofs, shipping and tracking updates;
  • Send marketing communications if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time);
  • Operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Site and our services;
  • Detect and prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service; and
  • Comply with our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

4. How we share your information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business, and with the following categories of recipients — we do not sell your personal information.

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform and payment processor, which hosts the Site and processes orders and payments on our behalf.
  • Payment processors — to process your payment securely. Card data is handled by the processor, not stored by us.
  • Shipping carriers  USPS and UPS — to deliver your order and provide tracking.
  • Email, marketing & analytics providers — our email and analytics providers (for example, Shopify Email and standard web analytics tools) — to communicate with you and understand and improve Site usage.
  • Professional advisors — accountants, lawyers, and similar advisors, as needed.
  • Legal & compliance — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of inThreadable, our customers, or others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We do not sell your personal information. Some analytics and advertising cookies (described in Section 5) may involve sharing information for cross-context behavioral advertising that certain U.S. state privacy laws treat as a "sale" or "share." You can opt out of these at any time through your browser controls, a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, and the cookie-preference tools described in Section 5.

5. Cookies & tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (such as maintaining your cart and securing the Site), for analytics, and — where enabled — for advertising. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect Site functionality. Where required, we present a cookie banner or preference tool. You can also opt out of certain analytics/advertising cookies through the providers' own tools and through browser-based controls such as Global Privacy Control (GPC), which we honor where required by law.

6. Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy — to complete and support your orders, maintain business records, and meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations — after which we delete or anonymize it. Submitted artwork and order records may be retained to support reorders and warranty claims unless you ask us to delete them, subject to records we are required to keep.

7. Data security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards — including the security features of our platform (Shopify) and payment processors — to protect your personal information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access / know — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it;
  • Correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to records we must keep by law;
  • Portability — request a copy in a portable format;
  • Opt out of marketing — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in our emails, or by contacting us; and
  • Opt out of "sale"/"share" and targeted advertising — where applicable (see Section 4).

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using Section 15. We will verify your request as required by law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits.

9. State-specific privacy rights (U.S.)

California (CCPA/CPRA): California residents have the rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information for money.

Other U.S. states: Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (for example, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, and others as such laws take effect) may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, obtain a copy of, and opt out of the sale or targeted-advertising use of their personal information. Texas residents, in particular, have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. To exercise the right to opt out of any sale or targeted advertising, contact us using Section 15 or use the cookie and Global Privacy Control opt-outs described in Section 5.

To exercise state-specific rights, contact us using Section 15.

inThreadable does not currently send SMS/text-message marketing. If we offer SMS marketing in the future, we will provide the applicable consent terms at the time you opt in — including message frequency, that message and data rates may apply, how to opt out (reply STOP), how to get help (reply HELP), and that consent is not a condition of purchase, as required under the TCPA and carrier rules. If you opt in to email marketing, you consent to receive those messages from us, and you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails.

11. Children's privacy (COPPA)

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services (for example, our Etsy shop or social media). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties; their own privacy policies govern.

13. International users / GDPR

We are based in the United States and our services are directed to the U.S. market. We do not currently offer international shipping through the Site. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand your information will be processed in the United States. Customers located in the EU or UK may have additional rights under their local data-protection laws and can contact us to exercise them; if we begin actively marketing into those regions, we will provide any further region-specific terms that apply.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated / Effective date" at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page, and where required by law we will provide additional notice.
